Post Thanksgiving Mapping Party in Arlington!

On the heels of the awesome group turnout from the Bethesda Mapping Party; we’ve decided why not hold another one immediately? Work off some Thanksgiving calories and come out and map with us this Sunday.

Lots of POI/Addresses/Paths/etc to collect in Courthouse Arlington. Let’s meet 12 noon November 29th and start mapping. We’ll map for a couple hours and then re-converge to upload our data.

If you have a GPS and/or Laptop please bring them but they aren’t required. We will have loner GPS units and can teach you how to edit as well on laptops.

Bethesda Mapping Party November 21st

The next mapping party is scheduled for Bethesda on November 21st, at 11am.  We are going to meet at Caribou Coffee at 7629 Old Georgetown Road.  If you have a laptop and/or a GPS please bring them, otherwise bring yourself.  We’ll got through the process of collecting data and then editing it to be put into OpenStreetMap.

DC-GIS Data Sprint #2
